Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin Madison. My areas of interest lie in parasite ecology and conservation biology.

I received my PhD from the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology at UC Santa Barbara in 2023. For my thesis, I worked with the Channel Islands National Park and the US Geological Survey to understand the effects of an introduced parasite  on the San Miguel Island Fox using conventional parasitological tools, DNA metabarcoding, and spatiotemporal modeling.

I am passionate about diversifying the sciences, which means pushing the bounds of our knowledge while fostering an atmosphere of compassion and cultural humility. People will never exist without their biases. However, I believe we all have a role in dismantling those biases, which is a continuous and iterative process.
